Is the Weaponization of the Government a Partisan Issue?

If the Republicans in Congress do their job, Democrat corruption will be on full display in several House committees.

This doesn’t mean the Republicans aren’t corrupt. They all are. But the Democrats, most of whom hail from Yankee dominated parts of the Union, have been running around with their treasury of virtue labeling anyone who opposed them traitors, deplorables, and insurrectionists.

This should be an “a ha!” moment for you.

The Republicans acted the same way as the Democrats in the 1850s.

Democrats called them out on it when they could, but American history has generally been written by “slave power conspiracy” sycophants.

Last week, Democrats failed to vote for several new committees aimed at exposing the “weaponization of the federal government.”

I wonder why?

Again, this isn’t new. The Sedition Act of 1798 clamped down on the opposition press. That was the intent. Federalists hoped to rig the election by preventing their political opponents from speaking out against them.

Republican hacks in charge of the mail in the 1860s were opening and rifling through mail of suspected “disloyalists” during the War, including sitting congressmen.

And we know, after the Church Committee in the 1970s, that the general government has been used to throttle dissident groups.

Don’t try to drain the swamp unless you’re good with gators.

Now it seems the swamp is going after Biden because they want him to step aside. We’ll see, but if the decentralized media has done anything worthwhile in the last twenty years, it has been to expose the rigged game of American politics.

I bet the Republicans do just enough to damage Biden but not so much as to destroy the establishment. We are Rome.

Biden will be impeached. It’s only a matter of time. The corporate press will do their best to play damage control, but they would rather have Newsome or some other glamorous progressive than Lying Joe Biden.

Either way, this topic made for good Podcast fodder on Episode 762 of The Brion McClanahan Show.
